Douglas Andrews

Born and raised in Southern California; studied Art and Painting at Pasadena City College. Received my A.A. (1969) then continued my Art education at San Jose State University with a B.A. in Drawing and Painting with a Credential in Secondary Education(1972).

I was a high school art teacher; teaching Intermediate, Advanced, and Advanced Placement classes for 40 years in the cities of San Jose and Downey, California.

After retiring (2012), I started to focus on my art career , joining various Art Associations and entering Juried Exhibitions and Shows.

I'm influenced by the work of a number of Impressionists Artists, the early work of Savaldor Dali and  Vija Celmins.
